Ancona’s beaches and marina are easily accessed by car or shuttle bus and some of the quitter spots here to visit can be reached by walking down winding cliff paths to the sandy beaches below. Marine life here is thriving which is why the water sports of snorkelling and scuba diving are so popular. Rent some equipment and spend a magical few hours observing this colourful underworld along the rugged sea caves and gorges here.
The area of Fano in Le Marche is just south of the Emilia Romagna border. There is an excellent commuting service along the Adriatic coast with connecting train and bus rails so tourists can easily travel along this eastern strip of paradise!
