Visit Miramar castle which is situated less than eight kilometres from the city. Also worth a tourist trip is the second biggest synagogue in Europe right here in Trieste. Built in 1912, this Jewish house of worship has a huge magnificent dome and gigantic supporting pillars as its central focal point and is a must-see attraction on your tour of Trieste!

There are lots of caves in the area surrounding Trieste. Be sure to book a tour around Grotta Gigante which is the largest tourist cave in the world! There’s a single cavity in this cave which is large enough to comfortably hold the massive size of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome!
