As you head into the town centre, you’ll be met with the magnificent sight of a huge well preserved fortress called Castello Estense. This castle is surrounded by a real moat and has four majestic bastions towering up within the structure. The views from the roof of this ancient building are spectacular. Try an Italian pasta dish with a Jewish twist called Cappellacci di Zucca. This is ravioli stuffed with a seasoned butternut squash filling and is absolutely delicious with a shaving of parmesan cheese and a glass of crisp white wine to accompany it!
