Perfect Short Breaks In Italy
For those who only have the option to get away for a few days or want to save a bit of money or want to have a short break before taking a longer holiday later in the year, a short holiday in Italy is a great choice. Rome
The Eternal City has enough to see and do for endless holidays but is a great destination if you only have a short time as you can visit quite a few of the highlights. Public transport is great and a lot of the most popular attractions are located relatively close to each other, meaning that making the most of just a few days in Rome is easy. Being the behemoth of tourism that it is, the city is always vibrant and things are always open, even in the “low season” (not that there is much of one in Rome). Sorrento
Another seaside city, this time located on Italy's lauded and lovely Amalfi Coast, Sorrento is a wonderful holiday destination. Perched on a cliffside, looking down onto the marinas and the sea, this gem boasts a stunning and vibrantly colourful setting, warm weather and plenty of things to keep you occupied. Head to Vesuvius for a few hours, check out the churches and museums, play on the beach or try out some water sports or, simply, relax and enjoy this paradise-like destination. Milan
