Property Description
Beautiful independent villa with swimming-pool situated near Castellina in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. This property was recovered by restoring the outbuilding of an ancient manor house. The restoration was very accurate and aimed to preserve the original architectural features and the old charm. The villa is surrounded by 220 hectares of beautiful vineyards and olive groves producing excellent olive oil and wines. The garden offers a nice swimming-pool to be shared with the owners. The house has an independent entrance and is tastefully furnished, in rustic style. The location is ideal to visit the most beautiful Tuscan towns like Siena, Florence, San Gimignano as well the charming villages of the Chianti Classico region.
Distances: Castellina Scalo with all kinds of shops 7 km away, Castellina in Chianti 8 km away, Radda in Chainti 19 km, Siena 20 km away, the lovely medieval town of San Gimignano 29 km, Volterra approx. 50 km away, Florence 60 km. The coastline area of Follonica and Marina di Grosseto with nice beaches is approx. 110 km away.
At guests’ disposal: large private furnished garden (lawn), swimming-pool (6 x 12 m – maximum depth 2 km, open from 01/05 to 31/10) to be shared with the owners, barbecue. The property is provided with mosquito nets and internet wi-fi. Parking within the grounds.
Extra Services: Baby bed free of charge. Extra bed available upon request (€ 150,- / per week – payable locally). Maid service available by arrangement at € 25,- / per hour (to be paid on the spot). The olive oil and wine produced on the estate are available for clients to be purchased. Guided tours of the estate by a land rover, visits of the estate wine cellers and wine tasting (€150,-/ per person – min. 5 persons to be requested at reservation and to be paid locally). 1st floor (access from the outside).: large living-room (satellite TV, VRC) with double sofa-bed, dining-room with kitchen corner (oven, small microwaves, freezer, dishwasher, toaster), 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms each with shower.
All of the bedrooms provide air-conditioning.

Fantastic holiday. Bibbiano exceeded our expectations. Great spot on its own in a secluded walled garden next to the main vineyard farm house with wonderful views. The directions were spot on and it took only 10 minutes from the Autostrada. Guilia in the vineyard office was there to welcome us, along with a couple of bottles of the house Chianti and helpful in every respect. No problem accessing the property with a normal car. The pool was huge with lots of shade. Italy does suffer from wasps at this time of the year. There are 2 friendly hounds at the property (we like very big dogs).
The house was generally very well equipped and the air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms a real blessing. Very spacious and characterful. Unfortunately it took 5 days for any of us to work out how the oven works. So we took to bbqing in the open ingelnook. A couple of the rooms were very dark at night. A few more lamps would have been appreciated. For a house with a great pool its a pity there were no plastic cups.
There was a DVD player and Sky, however no internet access.
The location was perfect for central Tuscany with a score of major attractions in very close proximity. Monteriggione was a real gem and only 10 minutes away. The supermarket (Coop) is also just 10 minutes away, however shopping in the local markets is also easy.
We drove down fom Milan which took 4 hours. Generally very good road, Autostrada all the way. Beware of the suicidal drivers !!
