The Aliseo cottage used to be a place used to refresh horses serving as means of transport for people and products. Grandparents say that during the holydays such as the Carnival of Foiano della Chiana which took place in February, as it does today, whole families used to go from the countryside to the village on carts drawn by horses. Guests may still see within the estate one of the carts used to this end.

My family stayed in 3 of the properties at Rosa dei Venti and all were wonderful. All the properties were clean and everything was working properly. All the windows have screens on them which is a major plus! All the appliances are up-to-date and working. Barbara and Stefano are fantastic hosts. The property is beautiful.
