For anyone who has found a luxury villa in Pisa, the city's incredibly famous and iconic Leaning Tower will, no doubt, be one of the attractions that you will want to see. In fact, if you are spending time in the historic quarter, where the Piazza dei Miracoli (the square in which the Leaning Tower of Pisa is located) is situated, it is hard not to see the tower. It stands above most of the other buildings in the surrounding area and is visible from nearby streets all around the piazza. You can get glimpses without ever specifically visiting, sit in a nearby cafe and grab lunch or a coffee for a front-row seat and leisurely observation, or have a casual wander around the piazza itself. Seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa doesn't need to be a big affair or ordeal.

The Last Supper is da Vinci's other great masterpiece and one of the most famous paintings in the history of the modern world. However, due to experimental techniques used in its making, the centuries past, damage in WWII and poor restoration in the 19th century, it is a shadow of its former self and in severe danger of disappearing forever.

Twenty-two years of restoration were undertaken in the 20th century and finished in 1999 and while this helped prolong the life of the work, the damage is severe. Despite this, viewers still come and some even return and the fascinating, beautiful work continues to capture hearts. Even if you're in Milan for just the one day, it is worth seeing – just read on for tips on planning your visit.

If you have found a vacation rental in Milan, one of the must-see attractions that almost everyone will pencil into their visit is a trip to see The Last Supper for themselves. One of the most iconic works in the history of art, it has influenced generations of art and pop culture for centuries now and is something that most have seen at some point in their lives. However, like all things, it is a different experience entirely to see something with your own eyes and in person.

Lecce, often known as the “Florence of the South”, is a stunning Baroque city with an incredibly preserved and lovely historic centre that is located in Apulia, in the south of Italy. It is a cultural and artistic gem that has to be seen to be believed. Just find a luxury villa in Apulia and visit it for yourself.

In the previous article, we noted some of the wonderful religious Baroque buildings that can be admired in the city and while there are dozens more that one could mention, there are also many other types of structures and works to be seen, beyond those used for worship.

However, in saying that, it would be remiss of us not to, at least, mention the church of Santa Croce Church; one of the most famous and extraordinary buildings in the entire city, with its iconic Hellenistic façade and rose window.
