Our range of villas in Italy, all throughout the country, are wonderful. They afford space and privacy, usually have either their own private pool or access to a pool, and they usually have outdoor spaces to dine al fresco and enjoy throughout your vacation. However, most villas in Italy are located far out in the suburbs of cities, or on the edges of small towns, or right out in the countryside. This is perfect for those who want space and tranquillity or those who are travelling with kids who are after peace and greater security but for those who really want to be in the thick of it, those who want to enjoy all that a place has to offer, and those who aren’t planning on renting a car, an apartment in Italy might be a better option! With our apartments in Italy, you can find a place right in the historic centre of some of the country’s most bustling, exciting, culture-dense, beautiful, and desirable cities and towns and resorts.

Puppet shows were long one of the most popular forms of entertainment for children, in particular (though not exclusively), and though they are less common now, they can still be found throughout the globe. In Italy, especially, the tradition remains rather strong and if you happen to be planning a vacation in Rome and are bringing some little ones with you then you might be glad to know that there is still a puppet theatre in the city. This historical and very pretty little theatre is a charming place where kids can be entertained while engaging with the history and cultural heritage of the city. There is just so much to see and do in Rome, so many centuries of history to uncover and explore, but children might not always enjoy tramping through museums and old buildings with you. So, once you have found your villa in Rome and are planning out days of exploring all that the city has to offer, why not pencil in a trip to Teatro Mongiovino to keep the smaller children in the party engaged and happy and as something they will enjoy?

If you are looking to plan a city break over the coming months and you are looking for a destination that perfectly combines beautiful surroundings with an unbelievable wealth of things to see and do (from museums to galleries, architectural gems, historic sites, activities, parks, and more), a great culinary scene, and also some excellent shopping, then the Eternal City is, without a doubt, one of the best options around. For a taste of that Dolce Vita, a vacation rental in Rome is just the thing, as it truly is a place that lives up to its name. Rome is always lovely, always fascinating, always a good idea, and always a perfect place to indulge in a bit of retail therapy. And, while there are plenty of interesting independent boutiques, elegant flagship stores for some of the world's best-loved labels, buzzing shopping streets, and more to be explored, a shopping trip is never complete without a visit to a local market. Wouldn't you know it? Rome happens to also have one of the best markets we've laid eyes on! A contemporary, well-oiled gem with the freshest of produce and some really cool traditional and new retailers, if you're planning a getaway in Rome and you're thoroughly exploring her shopping scene then you should definitely make time to visit the Nuovo Mercato di Testaccio, or Testaccio Market.

One of the best food markets in Rome today and home to some incredibly stylish shops, Testaccio Market in the Testaccio Quarter has been utterly transformed in recent years. Formerly shambolic and untidy, it is now a very smooth operation with a little bit of something for everyone and just lots to see...and eat! Among the oldest markets in the city and a neighbourhood fixture for over 80 years, Testaccio Market was moved to its current location back in 2012 and, with the move, became the more orderly beast that it is today. Glass-covered, bright, clean, and charming, the market is made up of nearly one hundred different stalls and retailers, many of which have been run by the same families for generations.
