For a true luxury experience that is undeniably specific to Apulia, Masseria Isaia is the perfect way to go. A historic masseria, a type of fortified farmhouse estate typically built in Apulia in the 16th century, this incredible property is spacious, lovely, and abounds in character and style. Located minutes from the gorgeous coastline and the famous, “white city,” of Ostuni, right in the Piana degli Ulivi Monumentali, a large expanse of the region that is cultivated with olive trees, the villa is surrounded by centuries-old and thousand-year-old trees, with the glittering city and sea visible in the distance. It would be hard to imagine a dreamier location for a holiday in Apulia!

Spread over two floors, the villa itself is composed of a large living area, an island kitchen and nine double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom as well as a vast private garden with a large swimming pool and all of the amenities and conveniences that you could ask for. Also available to rent for weddings and private events (upon request and with additional event fees), this incredible property is a true slice of paradise and a proper escape, far from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The historic centre of Ostuni is just 2km away, the beaches of Torre Pozzelle are just 7km, the nearest airport (Salento – Brindisi) is a 25 minute drive away, and fascinating towns and cities of the region such as Taranto, Lecce, Brindisi, Matera, Polignano a Mare, and Bari are all within a short day-trip distance away. So, whether you want to simply relax and get away from it all in your own private and luxurious estate at Masseria Isaia or you want to discover the culture, cuisine, traditions, attractions, and gorgeous scenery of the region by heading out to explore Apulia, or a bit of both, this is a perfect base!

Speaking of perfect... finished to an incredibly high standard, everything about Masseria Isaia screams luxury, ease, and relaxation. Upon passing through the surrounding groves, guests will arrive at the electric gate and drive down a lane to the manicured grounds and lovely traditionally lime-washed building. Parking either out in the open or under the covered portal, you will then be welcomed into an air-conditioned space that has been carefully designed and considered. Original features of the historic building can be admired alongside modern conveniences and there is a distinct style that announces you are not in Kansas any more but very much in the south of Italy, and Apulia, in particular.

Expect lots of high ceilings and white-washed walls and exposed old stone wall sections, as well as a chic and simple style overall. The palette that consists of lot of white through the furnishings as well as the walls is accented by tart pops of colour in accessories like cushions and through bright and colourful works of art. Flowing draperies framing glass doors out to the terrace and views of the surrounding scenery as well as interesting local ceramics all add to the distinct atmosphere and remind you where you are. Open bathrooms and crisp bedsheets only add to the fantasy of a dream vacation in Apulia.

Upon entering the villa through the monumental front door, you arrive into a large living room, then into the dining room seating up to 12 guests at the dining table as you go further into the house, and then you will reach the unique island kitchen with all of the mod-cons you could need in addition to lots of interesting antique touches. The kitchen also directly allows access to the terrace and the lovely outdoor breakfast area.

The bedrooms, meanwhile, are split across two parts of the villa: four in the historic part of the farm and five bedrooms in the later extension. All of the bedrooms have a French en suite with a toilet and bidet in a separate enclosed room and a shower or bath and sink in the main space of the bedroom or in a separate bathroom area. One bedroom, a room with twin beds that is ideal for children, is the only exception to this and has use of a bathroom that is shared with the living area. The extension with the five other bedrooms is built around a central living room with sofas and a glass pergola shaded by white drapes – a gorgeous space to share and convene.

Outside, the villa truly impresses, with ample dining areas to enjoy meals al fresco in the most magical of settings. You can eat in the shade just off the kitchen, lounge out with a glass of wine in the various outdoor seating areas with plush sofas and armchairs, rock in an egg chair with a good book on a lazy afternoon, swing in a hammock, sit out on a balcony while admiring the surrounding views, and more. The pool area also stuns, with lush green lawns all around, a gazebo with essentially an outdoor living room, several other covered areas with loungers, and loungers out in the open that are dotted around the pool. A Salt Skimmer Swimming Pool, it is large, measuring 20m by 10m and between 2.2m and 1.1m deep, and has easy access down gentle steps. An outdoor shower adds to the convenience of days at the pool.

Available from between €1581 and €7016 per night, this gem in Apulia is still free for much of summer 2025 and is a dream spot for a luxury getaway with the whole gang or the extended family. Experience true luxury and the impossible beauty and charms of Apulia at Masseria Isaia!
