If you are a fan of pretty views, houses with incredible and distinct character, plenty of space and beautifully finished interiors, history, manicured gardens, private pools, and romantic al fresco dining areas then you will find that all this and more besides is offered if you are booking one of our Tuscany Villas for a holiday in Italy and decide upon Villa Torreone. Impossibly beautiful, it makes a lasting impression and is the kind of place where you can make special memories that will last a lifetime!

Located 2km (1 mile) from the town of Torreone, near the medieval beauty that is Cortona in Tuscany, this villa is positioned in lush grounds on a green tree-covered hillside that overlooks a beautiful valley below. Sleeping up to eight guests in four bedrooms with four bathrooms, Villa Torreone is a period property with elegant and masterfully designed gardens, historic bones, and a modern finish inside to offer both comfort and style. Surrounded by walls and with grand iron gates upon entrance, this villa in Tuscany affords privacy and an impressive sense of grandeur.

The aforementioned grounds and gardens really are well worth mentioning again as they are something very special indeed and include features like a stunning private pool set on a terrace with a perfectly green grassy lawn, a balustrade overlooking the magic landscape below, niches set with statues of mythological figures (really adding to the distinctly Italian and historic atmosphere), and a pool house to one end that has a large dining table for romantic meals in this dreamy setting.

On the rear patio overlooking this terrace, there is a little stone table with four elegant iron chairs that is ideal for enjoying a chat over a glass of Tuscan wine as the sun sets over the valley or waking up to those remarkable views with a delicious cup of Italian coffee. More statues are dotted throughout the rest of the grounds, as well as other little dining areas, and there are paths and walks winding about the space, giving guests plenty of options of places in which to relax and unwind during their stay at Villa Torreone. There are also incredible little surprises for you to stumble upon like the little rocky grotto, a sunroom with a shower and sunbed, and other spots throughout the garden where you get great viewing spots over the surrounding area.

Of course, inside, this charming stone villa is equally lovely with modern touches added to the historic rooms in order to make the property more comfortable and ensure you have all the mod-cons that you could ask for. Expect high ceilings, large windows, elegant and symmetrical rooms, interesting works of art and antique furnishings dotted here and there, original features like charming exposed beam ceilings, a perfectly equipped modern kitchen, and luxurious bathrooms.

On the ground floor, you find that modern kitchen fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, oven with stove top, a toaster, both an American and Italian coffee machine, and both WIFI and air-conditioning, as well as the period features of exposed beams and a big old fireplace. A table for eight is in this space but there is also a direct exit out to the garden, making it easy to transport meals outside for unforgettable meals al fresco in those stunning gardens. A formal dining room is another alternative for meals nearby and is an attractive room that has been decorated with Asian-inspired furnishings and details and can also seat all eight potential guests of the villa. Two living rooms are also found on this floor – a more formal and larger space and a second living room with a television that also has an exit out to the garden. All of these main rooms boast both WIFI and air-conditioning for your comfort and convenience. A bathroom and another small room with some seating and an exit to the terrace round out this floor.

The first floor of the villa, meanwhile, is where you will find all of the bedrooms. Three elegant double bedrooms have plush interiors (with delicate little side tables, extravagant headboards, heavy curtains and rich carpets, pretty armchairs, televisions, and little decorative touches and works of art) and en suite bathrooms while the fourth is also a beautifully-decorated double but does not have its own bathroom. There is, however, another bathroom on this floor as well as a service room with a washing machine, dryer, and iron. All of the bedrooms, again, are equipped with both WIFI and air-conditioning.

Additionally, this property is one of our villas where the owners offer extra services at a supplemental cost including things like baby sitting, pre-stocked fridges upon arrival, and maid services (allowing guests to further relax and ensure they have nothing to worry about throughout their stay) as well as more entertaining extras like cooking lessons, private chef hires, and custom tours of the area.
