Explore The Cinque Terre: Come Hang Out On Vernazza's Two Stunning Beaches

Vernazza
If you have been considering a holiday in Italy and were thinking of finding a vacation rental in the Cinque Terre then you are in luck as we have lots of incredible villa rentals in the area to choose from and when you do actually touch down in this stunning part of Italy, you will quickly realise that there are lots of utterly picture-perfect views to take in, lots of things to see and do, and absolutely perfect beaches to spend time on, relaxing, unwinding and working on your tan. For those looking for a perfect seaside destination in Italy, the Cinque Terre is one of the best possible choices that you could make and really delivers for a holiday of your dreams.
You may have seen pictures of Vernazza before as it is one of the incredibly pretty towns of the Cinque Terre, a collection of historic and picturesque seaside villages that are located along the rugged and beautiful Italian Riviera coastline, that often makes it into travel guides, onto postcards, and all across social media timelines. With its romantically craggy and plant-covered cliff side that hugs a cluster of historic buildings in rainbow hues that go down towards a little harbour filled with little boats that are also in a range of different shades, it is already a perfectly pretty and scenic gem of a town but is made all the better by being home to two charming little beaches that are just a stone’s throw from the centre of the town. It is perfect for those who want to explore a lovely old Italian town, grab a bite of some unbelievably fresh seafood or delicious Italian food, drink some coffee or wine while enjoying a sea breeze, take some ridiculously pretty photos by which to remember your trip, and then go for a little splash or to sun yourself, all in a very concentrated and manageable area.

The first of Vernazza’s two beaches is located right in that pretty and iconic harbour and is a small, sandy beach that is perfect for paddling around and for sunning yourself on the flat rocks surrounding the strand. As it is located in a harbour, the waters are constantly calm and a little warmer and it a great place to relax and to bring kids without having to be overly worried about their safety. Surprisingly, it is not particularly popular among tourists but if you’re exploring the town, it is an easy and nearby spot where you can go and cool off in the pleasant waters and take a moment to rest for a while.

Then, over on the east side of the village, behind the cliff, you will find the second beach in town. The beach can be reached by turning left on the main village street through the, “cave,” (a passage carved out of a rock-face along the coast) and walking for two minutes. This charming path itself is rather unusual and interesting and reason enough to head in search of the other beach in Vernazza. Once you get to the other beach, you will find a bigger, stony beach where you can have more space for playing around or to have a little more privacy.

With two beaches that are only a couple minutes from the centre of the town and are impossibly picturesque, Vernazza is a perfect place to combine a day trip to a pretty and traditional Italian village and a beach day if you have found a vacation rental in Liguria and are exploring the Cinque Terre and this incredibly beautiful part of Italy.
