View of Procida
Procida Island is part of a cluster of three islands located on the northern end off the Gulf of Naples along the Amalfi Coast. The other two are called Ischia Island and Capri Island. Procida may be small but it has over 10,000 inhabitants living on less than two square miles.

The famous Hollywood movie, ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’ starring Jude Law was filmed here!

Tourists can avail of frequent ferry services that sail between the islands and the mainland of Italy at Naples so a day trip around them all is quite a manageable accomplishment!

Why not stay at a pretty holiday villa in Naples where you can gaze out upon the stunning Amalfi coast every morning when you wake up to another sunny day!
Town of Procida
Superb treks are available to embark on Procida, Capri and Ischia so be sure to bring your hiking boots if you feel like some refreshing exercise. For those who prefer to let someone else to do the hard work, there’s a great timetable of island buses that will take you on a tour of each island.

On Procida Island, visit the fortress and monastery that stand high above one of the island’s ports. Enter through two stone gateways in Terra Murata which means ‘walled land’! Here you can discover the fascinating history of what was once an old prison. Skulls decorate a small chapel here so come and have a look if that’s not to eerie for you!

Book a tour around this mysterious place where you can learn the spooky history of how corpses were brought here to be mummified. Some remain for tourists to see for themselves!
Marina in Procida
Be sure to visit Corricella marina, by far the prettiest place on the entire island of Procida. This quaint little harbour is filled with well kept boats and lined with colourful houses overlooking the sea. This is the perfect spot for a long lunch in the shade as you watch the world go by.

Enjoy a leisurely swim along some of the beaches here and have fun renting some snorkelling equipment and swimming along the coastline to gaze upon the magnificent marine life that thrives in these clean sparkling waters!
