It is an intricate network of little streets lined with stunning old buildings, many kept freshly painted in white wash. Some of the famous white painted cone roofed ‘Trulli’ buildings lie on the outskirts of Locorotondo and are a wonderful sight to behold!
There’s a nice little tourist information office in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele which will provide tourists with all they need to know about the local attractions and history of Locorotondo.
Among the festivals celebrated in Locorotondo throughout the year, two of the most popular are the festival of San Giorgio on the 22nd and 23rd of April and the music festival in honour of San Rocco on the 10th August.
