The "Fonte del Salcio" is situated in the green hills of Maremma near the tiny medieval town of Cinigiano. The area is wine zone of D.O.C Montecucco and Collemassari, the farmhouse is an ideal spot to spend a pleasant and relaxing holiday, with all modern comforts. Each house is independent and there is a large garden surrounding the farmhouses with olive trees, vine and typical plants of Mediterranean woods. The houses are furnished in a characteristic manner with antiques. You can admire the wonderful country landscape of Maremma through the large windows. Some of the farmhouses have open fireplaces. During the hot days of summer you can swim in the pool, sunbath in the garden or sleep under a beach umbrella. In every house there is satellite TV and the D.O.C wines of Tuscany.

The property is composed by 3 buildings: Trenta Vizi and Zi'Momo are both detached little villas, 30-40 m distant one fromthe other;in the 3rd building you find Nonna Rosa (1st floor) and Nonno Meo (ground floor), each with independent entrance and garden area.

Each unit has its own barbeque and equipped ourtdoor areas.


HEATING works by electricity (see unit policies).

The 2 apartments Nonna Rosa and Nonno Meo feature large dining areas, suitable also for parties of 12 or so.

Distances:
Cinigiano is only 500 mt. far from the house, it is a small town situated on Maremma hills (Tuscany)and here there are restaurants, food shops and bar.
It's near Grosseto and it's 45 minutes far from seaside and about 30 minutes from mount Amiata. In town there are 2 good restaurants, a pharmacy, minimarkets and some shops... Bus service to main cities. Main distances: Florence 2 hours, siena 1 hour, Pisa 2 hours, Grosseto 30 minutes, Rome 2 hours...

Among the long beaches of the Tyrrhenian Coast and the bare "Crete Senesi" we meet the High Tuscan Maremma area, characterized by gentle hills planted with grain, spaced out here and there, by luxuriant olive groves and beautiful vineyards. In this heavenly spot you find AGRITURISMO LE CALLE, suitable for those who, once in a while, would like to renounce to some comforts of modern life to plunge themselves into the ancient peasant tradition. In the small rural village called "La Cava", close by the heart's farm, you can find two lovely apartments, "Casa di Carola" and "Casetta di Olinto". Approx. 2 km far, immersed in nature, there is "Casetta delle Calle". Into the farm center there are also a nice swimming pool (dim. mt. 6x12, depth mt. 1,20-1,70), an equipped playground for children, a small laundry with washing machine and a shop stocked with all farm production such as Montecucco D.O.C. wine, Tuscan extra virgin I.G.P. olive oil and other typical organic products. For those who wish, there is the possibility to watch and take part to the farm life, by helping the owner in the agricultural works taking place during all the year (wheat threshing, grape harvest, olive picking…). Whereas, for sport lover's mountain-bikes are at full disposal, to venture in exciting trips into the Tuscan country. During the holiday all clients will have a free wine tasting, and for those who like there will be the possibility to make a trip on the beautiful country of the Maremma with the AgriBus, a nice trailer used as means of transport for people pulled by a farm tractor (service on payment).

In case the group is larger there are other accommodations available up to 20 people and the supplement amount is Euro 650 per person/per week (including daily breakfast). In case the group is smaller (no smaller than 6 though) there is a reduction on the published rates for you.

SUPERIOR APARTMENTS
Superior rooms are characterized by a great attention to details and care for the interior design although slightly less spacious than the suites.
They also allow the guests to enjoy the wonderful views of the hills surrounding the estate.

The rate we offer is that for 6 units - 12 people (the property is for your sole use). However in total there are 10 units composed as follows: sitting room with sat-TV and minibar, living area with table and chairs, double bedroom, bathroom (2 units with tub and the other units with shower), terrace with garden furniture and views.

Pianirossi provides its guests with a beautifully sited pool, solarium, lounge chairs and umbrellas: all the essentials to enjoy your stay to the utmost while sharing a relaxing spot that mirrors the beauty of the surroundings.

RESTAURANT
Each morning you are invited to enjoy a hearty breakfast (included in the rate) in the dining room located above the wine cellar: the house specialties are prepared with healthy and wholesome ingredients.


From the design of the interior to the cultivation methods, everything has been planned according to ecologically sustainable construction and agriculture principles. For example: the bedrooms are electrosmog-free meaning there aren’t any elctromagnetic fields emitted from unused electrical circuits. The interiors have been weatherproofed using green and eco-friendly building materials. The roofs were built to allow air to circulate and so maintain the ideal interior temperature: the roofs were entirely insulated using recycled cork. Solar panels located above the wine making shop produce hot water. Wine and olives are cultivated with environmental, low impact techniques that, once we have a better understanding of the dynamics of the land and the region, will permit us to achieve “Organic Farm” status.

Fontanelle is without doubt one of our loveliest Tuscan properties. It is located to the west of Montalcino, an area renowned for its beauty and for its wines, especially the famous Brunello di Montalcino. The property is in a spectacular position, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, cypresses and with views of the surrounding hills. The house has recently been restored and furnished to an exceptionally high standard by the owner, a well-known Italian interior designer. The house has been featured in several books and magazines, including House and Garden, Elle Decor and Tuscany Interiors. The rooms have been painted and furnished throughout in warm yellows and terracottas, which blend perfectly with the brick tiled floors, exposed beams and sunny open spaces. The magnificent living room with vaulted ceilings opens to the rear of the house to a pretty terrace with vines, pots of flowers and views over the countryside. Off this terrace is a covered dining terrace, also with wonderful views.
