The tuscany villa website and service I found to be very helpful. It was easy and convenient to pay for the villa through the website. There are a large number of villas on your website, but the search engine and criteria helped to filter through them all.

Overall an excellent villa, and we will recommend it to our friends and are considering going back for a future anniversary.

Francesco and Marina were excellent hosts. They are very friendly and helpful. Marina's Italian duck was superb and we enjoyed their family. Francesco's wine was very good too. I would recommend their property to anyone who was going to Italy and wants to stay in Villas. Thank you Francesco and Marina.
I just wanted to let you know that we had the most fantastic time at La Selva. The villa itself was beautiful, as was the surrounding countryside. The weather couldn't have been better, I could go on.
Paulo & Francesca couldn't have been more welcoming, even baking us some traditional tuscan bread in their newly built, wood fired oven on our arrival.

(more) you knew, but we actually came to Tuscany to get married (we actually wed in Siena), and I have to say that the whole experience was one of the most amazing I have ever had, and I know everyone who came along with us feels the same - the villa played no small part in that, so I don't think La Selva or Tuscany could be improved upon!!
The only thing I could otherwise say, & this may have been me misreading e-mails, is that I was slightly unsure of how the final instalment was to be paid, and to whom. But this is such a minor thing in what otherwise couldn't have been more perfect, I'm almost embarrassed to mention it.
It just remains for me to say thank you for introducing us to La Selva, and providing such a comprehensive website.

Website: I found the website well organised and easy to use. The property we rented was described well and the actual property was as expected; enough pictures to get a good idea of the property.
Property: the property was very nice; the garden had been redone recently (as far as we coul... (more)d tell from the pictures on the website), the owner could contemplate putting new pictures of the garden on the website; the furniture was great and both the bathroom and the kitchen incl. all the equipment offered exceeded our expectations.
Our only suggestion would be to install netting on the windows and the main door to allow to keep the doors and windows open for ventilation while preventing the very active insect fauna (incl. some hornets) from entering the house.
Area: very pretty; one very nice village shop and a very nice village restaurant; not a lot around immediately, but it only takes 45min to Siena.
All in all we had a fantastic time and the staff at holiday villas in Italy and the staff at Tuscany-Villas has been very helpful and charming!
We had a lovely holiday - it served our purpose of having a final family holiday before children leave home absolutely perfectly, and I would imagine it would be equally good for a younger family. However, you need a car even to get shopping. The agency was very helpful and prompt. The owners were really friendly but did not interfere in any way. The property (Villa Casalmare in Levanto) was excellent for a group of 10 persons and I think it offers fairly good value for money.
The best part of the property was naturally its location right by the sea and the terrace overlooking the sea + town. The garden was very beautiful but lost some of its charm after having a "close encounter" with a snake while sunbathing in the grass n... (more)ext to the house (but that's common of course in that area and should not be blamed on the property). As the owners are aware of the snakes in the property I think it should be mentioned but how to do it without causing unnecessary panic for those being really afraid of snakes (such as the pregnant lady who faced the snake) - I don't know.
We did have some trouble with the electricity as we received small electric shocks while using the dishwasher. Later that same evening we lost the power completely due to poor electric work/joint between the dishwasher and the power outlet (potentially life-threatening due to the poor connection and the electric shocks received!). The carekeeper (Daniele?) arrived within 10-15 minutes from the phone call and got the electricity back on and arranged an electrician to fix the problem first thing in the morning (excellent availability and service from him).
Few words about the cleaning:
- as there is no A/C and the humidity gets rather high it would definitely be worth changing the linen and towels once in the middle of the week as well.
- "final cleaning" should include cleaning of the kitchen as well (or if not possible then please change the name of that fee for something else, i.e. "extra fee" or "departure tax"...)
Overall I think the property was very good for our requirements and I would recommend it to other guests (and friends) as well.
And finally, I have to mention that the service received from Lucia @ Tuscany Villas was excellent throughout the booking process. There was none of that uncertainty that you may sometimes get with internet bookings. Great job.
Our group had a wonderful time in Tuscany. The villa was set up perfectly for our group (3 couples and 4 children). We cooked nearly every evening meal at home and especially enjoyed the outside eating areas. We did feel that the kitchen could use a few better quality pans (especially large pots for pasta and sauces). I don't think the information at the villa included the location of the near... (more)est Super Market (Coop) and that would have been useful since we were buying large quantities of food for our group.
The information provided regarding nearby activities was sufficient. Also, Alaria (the young woman who came to the villa each day) was able to answer any questions we had about how to navigate in the area. It would be helpful to include in the welcoming information the location of the pay phone in Radicondoli.
The location was perfect to explore all the hill towns in the area. We explored many towns from Volterra to Montepulciano.
It has been awhile since I have visited the website and completed the booking but as I remember, the process was very easy and customer friendly.
We would most certainly recommend this villa to our friends. We have many photos to show the beauty of the home and its location.
I'm sure our travels will bring us back to beautiful Italy in the future and we would definitely use your service again. It was a wonderful trip that left all of us with many special memories.

It was wonderful. the house was more then we had hoped for and the setting was perfect for us. Our landlords were extremely thoughtful. They met us be the Autostrada so we wouldn't get lost, provided us with extras. It made our trip just about perfect. I will certainly recommend this to my friends.
