Hidden away at the end of a dirt road in the foot hills of the province of Piacenza lies this absolutely beautiful house, which can only be described as a paradise. There are few weak points, the main 2 being the access road, which should be paved, and the bees (the neighbors make honey) which were a bit of a nuisance around the pool. Other than that, it is hard to find room for improvement.
Even the provinces of Piacenza and Parma were a welcome surprise for us: beautiful towns, delicious food, and truly polite people.
We thoroughly enjoyed Villa Pieve. The location was great for exploring the Southern and Eastern parts of Tuscany. The house does look like the pictures as it is well kept and very spacious. We had a group of 16 including children and we had more than enough space. The house is very quiet and with an air conditioner unit in every bedroom, this was a great benefit in the August heat.
