Hidden away at the end of a dirt road in the foot hills of the province of Piacenza lies this absolutely beautiful house, which can only be described as a paradise. There are few weak points, the main 2 being the access road, which should be paved, and the bees (the neighbors make honey) which were a bit of a nuisance around the pool. Other than that, it is hard to find room for improvement.
Even the provinces of Piacenza and Parma were a welcome surprise for us: beautiful towns, delicious food, and truly polite people.
We thoroughly enjoyed Villa Pieve. The location was great for exploring the Southern and Eastern parts of Tuscany. The house does look like the pictures as it is well kept and very spacious. Zeer mooie, rustige, zeer afgelegen omgeving. Vakantiewoning helemaal in orde en groot zwembad ter beschikking.
Voor GPS: geef 'localitata Ulignano' in, want Ulignano op zich bestaat ook (maar dit ligt net naast San Gimignano en is wel nog een 15-tal kms van de vakantiewoning!!!). Anders is het bijna niet te vinden, ongeasfalteerde toegangswegen!!

PROS: Family-friendly house with 4 appartments (3 for renters) and a large garden.
CONS: Although very close to the sea, one need a car or 5km walk to reach a nice children-friendly sandy beach.
We very much enjoyed our holiday at La Ripa. It is a nice recently renovated apartment, especially a large bathroom with separate shower and bath. The owners are very nice and helpful e.g. gave advise about places to visit and they let us taste some typical Tuscan products. They grow a lot of vegetables in their garden.
Florence is nearby and easy to visit by train.

We booked this property very esaily and quickly through Easyreserve who were very efficient.
The property was really first class and in a very central position. Extremely clean and comfortable. A very good base for travelling around Tuscany. Sienna and Assisi close and Florence 1 hr drive and Rome 2hr drive.
De feedback die gepubliceerd stond op de website was niet overdreven. Villa Miccia is een ruime aangename woning met een jacuzzi die ook nog werkt ook en altijd warm gehouden wordt. Er waren geen onvoorziene extra kosten en zelfs de kookles was geheel gratis (inclusief de wijn). De eigenaars waren zeer aangenaam in omgang en het was leuk om kennis met hen te maken in hun "eigen omgeving" namelijk ... (more)hun eigen woning waar de fantastische kookles gegeven werd door Marina. Het dorpje is klein en daarom ook net aangenaam terwijl alle hoofdnoodzakelijke winkels aanwezig zijn. Een auto huren is aangewezen indien je van plan bent om buiten het dorp de rest van Toscane te verkennen (een Fiat 500 was perfect voor de kleine bochtige bergwegen).

Che dire della casa? Un bijoux, proprio come mostrano le fotografie allegate alla descrizione. Anzi, devo ammettere di essere stata molto scettica prima della partenza, a causa di precedenti esperienze poco positive, ma quando all'arrivo la proprietaria Eleonora ci ha mostrato l'appartamento, ho potuto constatare che rispecchiava fedelmente la descrizione.. ed è cominciata la Vacanza!
Esperienza quindi molto positiva per tutta la famiglia (amici a quattro zampe compresi, che si sono ambientati presto). Terremo in considerazione la proprietà anche per le prossime vacanze!

We just returned from a week long vacation at the villa (920.8). It was all beautiful and we would highly recommend it. The property itself is absolutely lovely; the view is stunning; the location is perfect (15 minute car ride to the outside wall of Lucca).
We booked Villa Margherita for a relaxing week following four days in Rome. And it was a superb week! The location is magnificent and we spent each evening discussing whether the amazing views at sunset from the pool area was better than the night before or whether it surpassed anything we'd ever experienced. In fact the first few day were a bit cool and we used our minimal wardrobe in a layered fashion!!
There were just two of us (no kids this time - hurrah!) but if you had young children, you would need to give consideration to the pool area and the pool itself. Fantastic for swimmers and jumpers but with no real shallow area. And the views might be wasted on 3year olds!

Fantastic property. Beautifully furnished. Great pool. Great location for visiting Lucca, Pisa, Florence and the lovely beaches at Viareggio.
My only criticisms? No electric kettle, no potato peeler, no mugs or big drinking glasses. No table mats. No DVD player. Families like/need things like this.

beautiful appartment spacious and clean clearly loved and looked after by the owners. Good location for visiting all the top spots of Tuscany although a car and a good gps/sat nav needed. Owners very helpful and made our stay there a great experience
we loved the magnificient view and the nice house. The owners were friendly and helpful people. However quite some times there were also other people/friends using the swimming pool. For 2000 EURO per week we did not find this normal. These people did not bother us a lot. However next time we will look for a house exclusively for ourselves. We've rented villas and cottages in France, Canada and the USA, and this is one of the nicest. The 5 of us found Il Pigionale comfortable, charming and practical; it is newly renovated and everything was in good working order. Situated in the Piazza del Commune of the quaint Pergine Valdarno, everything needed is close by: small grocery store, fruits and vegetables and a butcher. It is worth sp... The owners, Marina and Francesco, and their cildren Giulio and Irena were very hospitable and always helpful. Marina guided us in the preparation of a delicious Tuscan meal at their home, which was enjoyable.
The village of Pergine Valdarno is in the heart of Tuscany - 45 minutes from Florence, Siena, Cortona, and Assisi is only about 90 minutes away.
